I absolutely love this extension! It's so nice not to be inundated with sites I do not like. I only wish today's search engines showed all results like they did back in the 1990s. I'd be willing to block results I didn't want to see instead of the search engine deciding what they want us to see.

Great when it worked, but after blocking about 20 websites I noticed that the list has started wiping the most recent 2 or 3 additions every time I block a new site - is there supposed to be this upper limit, or is ti a glitch? I search in lots of different google country domains every day, could this be the cause?

Reddit no more!! Great extension, thank you so much.

This is exactly what I've been looking for and what I personally think should just be part of all browsers. I tried uBlacklist with minecraft.fandom.com since it still sometimes appears as the top result and I keep clicking on it instead of the new minecraft.wiki. This extension blocked all related search results, all "People also ask" drop down results, and Google images too. I appreciate that it can show how many results got blocked in very non intrusive way and clicking on the "show" button will reveal the blocked as red highlighted results in case you're curious. You can also just hide the blocked site counter in the options.

Tried it to block temu, didn't work, combed thru all the settings, permissions etc., still failed to do the one thing it was supposed to. 15 mins of my sad life wasted.

I love it! I can finally block all Amazon listing from clogging up every page whenever I search for something. Amazon, Walmart, and a number of other big monstrous companies have managed to monopolize search results for just about every kind of search you can imagine. It wasn't anything like this twenty or even fifteen years ago. But between Google advertising and partnership programs, and Amazon being the Walmart of the internet, we end up wasting time going page after to page just to get rid of amazon results. The internet was vast and wild, mostly taken up by individuals and small affairs and businesses. Now it's a zoo, a commercial strip, a warped scene of Hialeah Florida where no zoning laws or regulations exist. And it's all about shopping. To put it bluntly, screw Amazon. It's a crooked affair posing as some benefit to mankind. But then isn't that what always happens? I finally have some semblance of the internet I was once used to back. Now, if only uBlacklist would work on Google. Not that I even use that societal crutch more than I have too. So, we lost the internet... we all knew it would happen as it was destined to become a commercialized Moroccan open-air market. Between entertainment, porn, and shopping, that's about all its good for now. Goes to show you how the masses seem to bring everything down to its lowest common denominator. It is nice to be rid of Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Kohls, Home Depot, Lowes, BestBuy, etc., but sadly most of what's left is nothing. Just scam sites posing as something relevant to your search. You know this instantly by the use of absurd URL's that make no sense. Or a list of "review" sites posing as such, but only taking their review results from where... Amazon. A terribly flawed and purposely toyed with review system anyway. All so that they can get you excited about a product and conveniently supply an Amazon link to it. Walla! They made some coin, and if you bought the garbage, they made even more coin! Haven't you ever wondered how such sites only have Amazon links to the products they review? Hasn't that ever seen somewhat suspicious? Well, all things end eventually. Even this universe. Those born before the new Millenia will have no idea what I am lamenting. They will have too old by the time they were able to or allowed to access the internet on their own unsupervised by their parents or at all. So, what they see and grew up with they consider normal. But really, those who saw the writing on the wall, did try to warn everyone. But nobody listened.

It was working well for a time, but suddenly (like yesterday or so) it stopped working on google image search. What gives?

Arjix

Before you think that it doesn't work, make sure that "Allow access to search page results" is enabled, for obvious reasons.

Downloaded this for a single website, added the domain, extension failed to block the domain from search results, promptly uninstalled. Thanks uBlacklist!

Update: Seems everyday the 'Block this site' moves to a different spot making my results look jank. Tired of this extension, time to find a better one. This barely works on search results anymore. The 'Block this site' is rarely there. I don't know if they are whitelisting a bunch of sites or if the extension has become faulty, but will be looking for something else now.

Anza Hanif Athallah

it works

Mike

doesn't work on opera GX

Ash Fisher

Works fine for blocking websites from regular search, but stopped working the day after I got it at blocking sites from image search.

Mac Derrick

This is great for removing bad websites like the AI compiled sort with adds and links to other sites, and horrible sites like quora.

Cory Kent

It does exactly what it's supposed to. What's with the dope who gave 1 star because it doesn't have an option they want, even though it works in every other way, and exactly as promised? It must be someone who hates the developer personally?

plautus egal

no option to export the block list

S. Drakoviche

I would give this 10/5 if I could. No longer will I be plagued with the echo chambers opinions on reddit or terrible movie critics when searching a movie I like.

Soham Ahire

Very helpful, I was tired of quora and reddit showing up all the time

Cordero Nine

Hello I've noticed that the extension doesn't extend to Google's perspective tab and was wondering if there was anything I can do about that or not.

Bert Jones

Works perfectly, some say it doesn't work on Duckduckgo, or it doesn't work at all. Just wondering if you have tried reading/understanding the instructions. Seems some people either don't know how to use this extension, or they have issues with computer/laptop? Anyway, thank you for this wonderful extension and long may it continue.

Darth Vader

Thank. GOD! This extension is a godsend, now I don't have to see stupid reddit and quora polluting my feed for every question I search on Google.

Cosmin

Doesn't work on Kiwi Browser on android anymore, and at some point it stopped working on my laptop as well.

voca 0831

Want to block specific sites that pollutes my image search results. F5 may not immediately show the effect, re-searching the same key-words again worked wonders at the time of writing.
